Whatever you're calling it, we've done one.
Birthdays at home, fun days at school, graduations, church gatherings, markets and family days. If there are children and there is a plug point, we can be there.
Eight kinds of afternoon
Birthday parties
At home, in a hall, or in the yard. The most common booking by far.
Creche & preschool
A full class served in one sitting, with staff who are used to small hands.
School fun days
High volume, long queues, four stations running at once.
Graduations
Creche and Grade R graduations, where the photographs matter.
Church & community
Youth days, outreach events and anything where the head count moves.
Baby showers
Grown-ups queue for candy floss too. We've stopped being surprised.
Corporate family days
Invoiced properly, set up early, and out of your way by the time it starts.
Markets & pop-ups
Card machine on the table, serving the public all day.
Three messages and it's done.
Tell us the date
WhatsApp Gloria your date, your area and roughly how many children. She'll tell you the same day whether the team is free — and if it isn't, she'll say so rather than string you along.
Pick your treats
One station or all four. Gloria will tell you what she thinks you actually need for your head count, which is sometimes less than you were about to order.
We arrive and set up
The team gets there ahead of your guests, sets up, serves right through the event, packs away and leaves the space as we found it. You carry nothing.
What most people end up booking
These aren't special packages — they're just the mixes that come up most often, priced straight off the list.
Popcorn & candy floss
The two that children queue for hardest, and the cheapest way to make a party feel like an event.
Add the slush
Popcorn, candy floss and slush. For anything outdoors between October and March, the cold one earns its place.
All four stations
The combo. Four queues moving at once, which is what stops a hundred children becoming one long line.
All four, double round
Two hundred servings of each treat. This is the school fun day booking.
Work out your own number
Set the head count, tick the treats, and send the result to Gloria without retyping any of it.
Count the grown-ups too — they always have one.
Tick all four and it becomes the combo automatically.
- Machine and server included

1 round of 50
An estimate, not a quote. Travel outside Soweto and unusually long events may change it — Gloria will always tell you before you commit.
What we need from you
Almost nothing, but the four things below make the difference between a smooth set-up and a scramble.
A plug point
Standard household power within reach of where you want the stations. If the only socket is across the yard, tell us and we'll bring extension leads.
A bit of space
Roughly a two-metre stretch per station, with room for a queue in front. We bring our own tables and covers.
Thirty minutes
We arrive about half an hour before your start time to set up quietly, so the machines are already running when the first child walks in.
Shade, if it's hot
Not essential, but candy floss and a Highveld afternoon disagree with each other. A gazebo or a tree keeps everything at its best.
Soweto first, Joburg gladly.
Sedi Events is based in Soweto and most bookings are within it — Orlando, Diepkloof, Pimville, Meadowlands, Dobsonville and everywhere between. Greater Johannesburg is standard too.
Further out is usually still a yes. The travel cost is agreed with you before you commit, never added afterwards.
Let's get your date in the book.
December weekends and fun-day season fill up first. One message tells you in minutes.
